Currently, the development and production of electric vehicles is a very promising innovative direction in the world economy. Electric cars have a number of unique properties that make their use in large cities particularly appropriate: the possibility of operation in city tunnels, which is difficult due to ventilation conditions for traditional cars.
The ecological advantages of electric cars are obvious. It should also be noted that the energy consumption of electric cars is significantly lower than that of conventional cars on traditional fuel.
The production of electric cars allows you to combine two winning economic factors - the unconditional innovation of products and their mass production: in this case, there will be an effect both from novelty, a large unsatisfied demand, and from economies of scale.
Ukraine, without a doubt, has certain opportunities for the production of electric vehicles: the presence of large reserves of iron ore, developed metallurgical production, the presence of deposits of lithium, which is a raw material for batteries, the supply of electricity, and the partial possibility of providing production with labor resources.
At the same time, the negative factors capable of restraining the development of electric mobility in the country are: the lack of significant experience in the design and production of competitive electric vehicles of any class on the world market, high-capacity batteries, automobile electric motors, chargers, engineering and labor personnel trained for the above-mentioned purposes, systems of their training, a large outflow of personnel potentially suitable for such purposes abroad, which continues, extremely limited investment resources, the absence of factories in the country that produce equipment for the production of electric vehicles, their cells and chargers.
For the development of the production of electric cars in our country, it would be appropriate to create an innovation center that coordinates the efforts of various structures.
There is a need for broad international cooperation with economically developed countries in joint electromobility projects. This can ensure the success of such projects. Electric vehicles are the future.
